Job Description

SUMMARY
The HR Manager will be responsible for guiding the executive management team to elevate its most valuable asset, its people. The HR Manager will cultivate and deliver effective management, administration, coordination, and evaluation of HR plans and programs for the company. The HR Manager will be a strategic, self‐starter and hands‐on role that provides full cycle HR solutions to the local and global team. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing internal customer support, and driving service excellence across the industry.
 
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing and administering human resources plans and procedures
  • Planning, organizing, and controlling the activities and actions of the HR department
  • Contributing to the development of HR department goals, objectives, and systems
  • Administering employee compensation and benefit programs
  • Maintaining and revising the company's handbook, policies, and procedures
  • Maintaining affirmative action programs and other HR related compliance
  • Responsible for strategic talent recruitment efforts to meet the company's growth needs
  • Assisting with visa process for our international hires
  • Conducting new employee orientations and employee relations counseling
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as an advisor to the executive management team
  • Maintaining department records and reports
  • Maintaining company directory and other organizational charts
  • Recommending new policies, approaches, and procedures
  • Works closely with International HR team to meet the company's goals
  • Ensuring that the company's procedures comply with employment regulations based on local, state or country  Requirement
  • Managing the company's appraisal system and conducting or supporting appraisal meetings
  • Administering and implementing training programs
  • Conducts new employee orientations and manages the onboarding process
  • Manages all benefits administration, open enrollment, benefit renewals, carrier connections and answering inquiries 
  • Conduct Semi-Monthly Payroll for 200 employees. 
  • Runs and analyzes payroll reports and data for Accounting department
  • Manages all work-related injuries, investigations and reporting.
  • Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA. 
  • Manges all required reporting such as EEO-1, CA Pay data reporting, ACA, 5500.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives
  • A true hands‐on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement
  • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment
  • Multi‐state compliance and HR law knowledge
  • Experience with immigration and employment visas for international employees
  • Experience coaching and mentoring at management level
  • Success in creating and driving effective development, employee relations, retention and reward programs
  • Being an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
  • Strong solutions focus and be comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions
  • Strong internal and external customer service focus
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously ‐ orientated on results

  • Must be able to interface at all levels of the organization including internationally
  • Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft programs
 
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Required Qualifications:
  • A completed bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a concentration in Human Resources
  • HR Certification Institute ‐ Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
  • Resume that shows steady progression in HR role for the last 5+ years
  • Prior experience leading, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Prior experience supporting hourly and salary employee client groups.
  • At least three years for payroll experience  
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree or MBA in HRM preferred
