Systems Engineer - Integration and Test (DOD Secret)

•Develop verification plans and verification cross reference matrices (VCRM’s) for high performance real-time control systems.
•Develop test plans and procedures in support of requirements verification and system qualification.
•Drive successful real-time system model integration, in order to support a variety of test environments at both system and unit level.
•Create test scripts to support automated testing of systems.
•Effectively communicate these internal design requirements to the other members of the design/project team
•Create concise reports that document test results, requirement verification and limitations and constraints.
•Support the identification and definition of Verification and Validation approaches for the system or subsystem
•Support system- and subsystem-level integration and test, including any anomaly investigations
•Operate as a contributing or lead member of in a team of creative, independent individuals
•Coordinate/facilitate design product discussions across other development teams and Moog sites
•Contribute as a key technical member on a team of creative, independent individuals
•Travel 10-25%: to other Moog sites and customer sites (primarily US based)
•Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline(Engineering, Math, Science, Technology)
•7+ years of professional experience in the field ofEngineering (5+ years with Master’s Degree; 3+ years with PhD)
•Experience with integration and test of real timecontrol systems
•Proficiency in modeling tools, such as Matlab andSimulink
•Experience with real time test environments such asdSPACE and/or National Instruments
•Due to federal contract obligations, must be a USCitizen
•Active Secret DOD government security clearance required at start.
Preferred Qualifications Include…
•Strong troubleshooting skills in real-time testenvironment
•Interface/Bus Knowledge (implementation andintegration) 1553,1394, RS-422/485, I2C, RS232, TCP/IP, UDP, LVDS, Pxi,cPCI, VME,VPX
•Programming skills in Python and C/C++
•Test experience with electric/hydraulic driven systems.
•Real- time hardware in the loop test-bed/rig design,both hardware and software
•Familiarity with Fault Management design andarchitecture development
•Knowledge in classical control system design (aircraftflight control systems a plus)
•Demonstrated technical leadership experience
•Proven competencies in Integration and Test,Verification and Validation Methods and Requirements Management.
•Experience working with safety-critical systems(including hardware and software)
•Experience in the aerospace industry
•Good verbal and written skills required
