Our exciting and innovative client is looking for multiple Electrical Engineers to work in Virginia and Arizona. 
 
For our Veterans - the following military codes may be applicable to this position.

5-15 years experience level.
  • Has solid background and understanding of analog circuit design
  • Has solid background and understanding of power electronics (power switching, DC/DC conversion, battery charge control, solar array power interface)
  • Has good understanding of digital and mixed signal circuit design
  • Design electronic circuits with digital and analog functionality for spacecraft applications. Select components with suitable radiation qualities.  Interact with other team members and software group to determine interfaces and operating characteristics. Generate documentation and review packages for flight boards.
  • Test and debug boards. Bench level verification of board functionality. Work either individually or as part of a team to develop test procedures and hardware to verify breadboards, engineering models, and flight units.
  • Work with fabrication team on board layout and build. Define layout constraints and provide oversight to board layout personnel. Support board through manufacturing of breadboards, engineering models, and flight units.
  • Support delivery of board to box-level assembly, including testing and debug.
    • Can also help track parts, identify alternate parts, and help resolve issues at the part level.
  • Supports the design of electrical systems
  • Lead electrical technology assessments and electrical system level architecture trade studies, electrical system definition, and electrical subsystem level requirements flow-down (analysis and allocation).
  • Develop subsystem requirements
  • Effectively operate within a multi-discipline engineering team.
  • Provide technical oversight to ensure the electrical system is compliant and verifiable at the avionics level.
  • Analyze and interprets requirements at the space vehicle level and flows down requirements to lower level specifications.
  • Provides documentation and makes technical presentations as required.
  • Develop space vehicle level interface designs.
  • Represent the organization in providing solutions to technical issues associated with specific projects.
  • Analyzes and designs avionics systems in assigned area by utilizing standard engineering and scientific principles.
Preferred Experience:
 
  • Familiarity with spaceflight electronics development.
  • Current TS/SCI Clearance
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A passion for space and space technology

  • Lead / coordinate electrical avionics team as required
  • Perform CAM activities as required.
  • Managing and reporting EVMS as required by program.
  • Develops cost estimates for proposals and programs as required.
  • Develops and manages schedule and resources as required by the program / project.
  • Analyze and interprets requirements at the space vehicle level and flows down requirements to lower level specifications.
  • Evaluates and coordinates electrical system designs to ensure system-level requirements are met.
  • Provides technical coordination of vendors and suppliers.

      • Circuit card manufactures
      • Battery subcontract
      • Solar Array subcontracts
      • Solar Array Drive Mechanism subcontract
      • Solar Array Drive electronics subcontract

  • Mentor less experienced engineers
  • Help decompose and flow down company level goals to the subsystem level to help company achieve hoes goals
Managing and reporting EVMS as required by more than one program.
