Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.
Primary responsibility will be Quality Assurance to ensure compliance to quality system manual requirements.
Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality policies, and procedures to ensure space related products and services are delivered to the customer on schedule, at minimum cost, fully compliant to contractual and statutory requirements. Based on product drawings, Quality Engineering inserts mandatory inspection points in build documentation to ensure that key characteristics are adequately verified on products. Perform data package review to validate the results recorded are within the actual specification limits. Impose quality flow down requirements on purchased products.
Candidate must be willing to travel to perform Source Inspection/Witness of process requirements. Shall interface with suppliers, procurement, manufacturing, engineering, internal and external customers to resolve issues to include participation in formal MRB and FRB activities.
