Position Summary
The Service Delivery/Project manager is responsible for supporting sales of technical services, develop and execute services implementation plan, and ensure successful and profitable delivery of services.
  • Responsible for maintaining and assist in developing standard project management methodology, procedures and practices
  • Responsible for ensuring established project management standards are followed
  • Responsible for training and supervising other project managers, as required
  • Provide support for sales team in assisting the development of project statement (scope) of work, and translate business/technical requirements into detailed and executable tasks
  • Responsible to recruit external resources or allocation of internal resources and develop delivery partners in support of execution of services offerings
  • Responsible for primary interface with customer and/or teaming partners services delivery manager for all service projects related matters as required
  • Responsible for coordinating internal resources to ensure program/contract compliance and proper capturing of CDRL data as specified
  • Responsible for contracts issue escalation and resolution and ensuring successful and profitable implementation of contracts
  • Responsible for providing project management services for all projects that participates either as a Prime or Subcontractor and ensuring both project and profit objectives are successfully met
  • Responsible for managing subcontractors onsite project managers to ensure compliance with project management standards and customer/contract requirements
  • Responsible for managing and coordinating both internal and external (teaming partners or subcontractors) resources to ensure all projects are progressing in accordance with contracts requirements and maintaining cost within budgets assigned
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  • Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
  • Tracks project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
  • Coordinate with customers, through marketing and sales, to provide necessary program status and obtain customer feedback.

  • Experience and Education
  • Strong knowledge of Government contracting practices and requirement as it related to technical services
  • Strong knowledge and hands on experiences in Project management standards, methods and practices
  • Strong knowledge in IT services practice, delivery and cost estimation
  • Expert knowledge in MS Office including Excel, Word, Project, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
  • Min of 3 years as a project manager or service delivery manager
  • Past experience as a field engineer is strong plus
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university
  • 5 years of combined technical/ project management experience required
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Technical certifications also preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of onsite project manager/onsite engineers
  • Demonstrated ability to work with partners to achieve mutual success
  • Excellent skills in report creation and delivery of applicable statistics.
  • Effective verbal, written and listening communications skills
