Skills: 1 year of test experience with electric propulsion or plasma devices is required.
Priority will be given to candidates with experience testing cathodes, Hall thrusters, and ion engines.
Candidates should have strong technical writing and presentation skills, and should have experience working in teams.
The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
The position requires some independent professional judgment and application of engineering principles, theories and concepts.
35% - Researches, develops and supports rocket engine components using engineering and scientific principles.
35% - Coordinates product development from ideas through product life cycle.
20% - Supports investigation and resolution of hardware and process anomalies and issues identified by preventative action/corrective action boards or safety initiative activities.
10% - Interfaces with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives.
Education: Bachelors Degree required
A Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering or related discipline and coursework in plasma physics are preferred.
