Plan, schedule, coordinate and expedite flow of material according to production requirements for the
manufacture of products through the production cycle. Effectively work with other departments to balance supply of materials and demand to achieve and maintain the highest levels of customer service with minimum inventory investment and maximum production efficiency. Maintains sales orderbook integrity. Creates, directs and evaluates appropriate action to meet customer and company shipment goals.
Generate the planned product schedule and coordinate the execution of planned material processing through the production cycle according to customer demand and sales targets to meet customer service and inventory goals and objectives. Key function: work seamlessly with Operations department to manage successful execution of plans, schedules and material flow.
Review schedules and related information including demand changes from Customers and confers with cross-functional groups to determine requirements to identify instances of potential lack of demand support and/or production goal misses.
Responsible supervisor for Planning Administration department. Creates, distributes and helps in execution of individual Planning Administrator goals/objectives.
Develops and implements material control strategies in support of corporate inventory turn goals using capacity/SIOP processes.
Develop, maintain and communicate regular program status reports for internal and external customers to monitor and report progress to production schedule. Coordinate with appropriate departments to ensure material requirements are identified, on-hand or ordered as needed.
Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process reports and status location of materials. May move or transport material.
