Basic Functions
Provides operations leadership to a manufacturing factory team to deliver business results in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity.  Manages operations for product line, including development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, scheduling work to meet customer requirements, developing manpower loading requirements, and identifying productivity improvement recommendations.
Essential Functions
Provides leadership and communication to the manufacturing team to attain daily, weekly and monthly performance objectives and shipments.  Cultivates a culture of safety, finding a way when confronted with challenges, and a continuous improvement focus.  Develops and implements productivity improvement efforts with the cross functional factory team of engineers, planners and technicians.  Manages employee activities to attain the performance objectives including processing all incoming sales orders, quoting dates for delivery on all standard items, establishing and maintaining a production efficiency and schedule, expediting materials and sub-assemblies to meet customer requirements, ordering materials and processing customer returns.

  • Demonstrated experience with driving cultural and productivity improvements in a cross-functional setting.
  • Excellent communicator and team-builder with strong Interpersonal, negotiation, leadership and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding spreadsheet utilization skills along with proficiency in word processing and presentation software (MS Office).  Epicor applications desired.
  • Ability to understand and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
Education and Experience:
  • BS Degree and 7+ years of professional experience working in an aerospace manufacturing or other highly regulated industry.
  • Minimum 5 years proven operations leadership/supervisory experience in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of high mix, low volume machining and mechanical assembly experience.
