Job Description Summary
 
Our Clients Infrastructure team is searching for a Manager of Network Engineering, who is innovative, curious, and excited to work in a highly collaborate and fast paced environment. Are you passionate about network technologies such as route/switch, WiFi, cloud, automation, NAC/user access, and cyber security? In this role, you will be responsible for solution delivery for network infrastructure and services, including in on-prem LAN/WAN, and AWS cloud environments. People management and development are critical to success. This will be a key role within the Network Infrastructure team and will take direction from the Sr. Manager, Network Engineering.
 
  • Lead and develop a small team of network delivery engineers; provide guidance to staff at all levels.
  • Work with Network Operations team members to monitor operations and ensure SLA is met.
  • Manage staff on projects for network upgrades and improvements and timely delivery.
  • Execute test and integration plans on network systems.
  • Manage contractor activities, including new design and build.
  • Lead network planning and represent department in changes to the infrastructure in the data center, corporate buildings, and cloud.
  • Document network problems and resolution for future reference, and lead discussions on root cause failure analysis.
  • Work directly with internal customers to ensure satisfaction, and to help train them to use new technologies.
  • Help create training materials for the use of new network systems.
  • Coordinate with customers to resolve issues, and help prioritize work.
  • Work within the Agile process to manage projects and ensure team member productivity.
 
Job Duties:

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be willing and able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Requires 3 years of experience managing network engineering teams in a complex operational environment.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Security clearance highly desired (Secret or TS/SCI)
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business oriented discipline.
 
  • Hands on experience with F5 load balancers, Infoblox DNS systems, and network management systems like Solarwinds
  • Solid knowledge of data / IP networking and protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, TCP, FTP, DNS).
  • Experience in network design in medium to large enterprise environments.
  • Experience with Aruba wireless systems.
  • Deep cyber security knowledge, and firewall management experience.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong documentation and communications skills.
  • Great attitude with customer focus
