Job Description

Our aerospace industry client provides sub-systems and components for every mission critical system on a modern military vehicle.  Their heritage is in electrohydraulic and electromechanical actuation systems and now, through acquisitions and internal development, they provide expert solutions in:
  • Stabilized Turret Drive Systems
  • Integrated Weapon Systems
  • Ammunition Handling
  • Data Control and Distribution
  • Power Management and Distribution
We are looking for a Fire Control Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering support for the design, development, integration, test, and verification of highly complex electro-mechanical fire control systems.
  • Generate component and subsystem specifications
  • Define hardware and software interfaces between subsystems
  • Develop, test, and document turret fire control algorithms
  • Build linear and nonlinear dynamic models and simulations to evaluate performance
  • Lead development teams
  • Support lab testing
  • Support field testing
  • Occasional travel required

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications Needed:   
  • BSEE with an emphasis in Control Systems and Signal Processing
  • Experience with Weapons Systems, specifically fire control computers
  • Classical and modern control systems design knowledge
  • Signal processing and data analysis knowledge
  • Hands-on experience working with the hardware and software aspects of electro-mechanical systems
  • Matlab/Simulink knowledge
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High level of motivation and willingness to learn
  • Strong work ethic
Desired Qualifications:
  • MSEE with an emphasis in Control Systems and Signal Processing
  • 5 to 15 years of industry experience
  • Turret fire control systems design, integration, and test experience
  • Matlab/Simulink expertise
  • Strong mathematical background
  • DoD Security Clearance
