SUMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for establishing and directing all sales and marketing functions for Champion Aerospace. Plans, organizes, directs, controls and provides the leadership to achieve the short-range and long-range development objectives in the commercial & defense aerospace segments. Determines product needs and services, defines the market demand and sector, determining customer requirements and communication of these requirements clearly and accurately to facility personnel in accordance with Quality System requirements.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Researches, analyzes, and monitors the financial, technological and demographic factors that may affect the present and future growth of Champion Aerospace’s products, services, and markets.
2. Forecast product requirements by part number to assure appropriate numbers and product types are being manufactured for customer demand. Interface with Manufacturing to insure prioritizing of customer order requirements and orderly flow of shipments.
3. Responsible for the annual business plan development along with the new business & pricing plans.
4. Manages, evaluates, and develops the marketing, sales, and product support staff.
5. Effectively manages the sales time & territory management plan to maximize new business and customer support activities on a targeted basis.
6. Develop and implement action plans to further marketing objectives and strategic plan goals.
7. Supports the negotiation of key customer contracts and long term agreements.
8. Manage and maximize the sales & marketing budget.
9. Maintain direct contact with principles of distributor accounts and key OEM customers to maintain relationships & management communication.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• 4 year college degree (technical or business degree preferred but not essential)
• MBA preferred
• Experience with increasing responsibilities
• Broad business knowledge preferred: sales, engineering, finance and operations
• Industrial experience preferred
• Management experience-direct reports
• Ability to drive results from current and prior positions
