Engineer duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead the design, development, test and certification for our client's supersonic business jet.
  • Manage the team to achieve the stringent design and performance requirements.
  • Build and lead all parts of IPT organization and direct the technical effort of external engineering teams and partner suppliers.
  • Foster a culture that inspires high levels of performance and employee retention.
  • Work with Supply Chain Management and suppliers to ensure successful development and certification of supplier hardware and software.
  • Prioritize and allocate budget and resources for the engineering team and manage to Program approved baseline schedule
  • Manage baseline configuration and chair Engineering Change Board.  Support Program Control Change Board.
  • Set and proactively analyze metrics to drive process improvements within work statements
  • Effectively partner with the executive team to balance and achieve program and company goals.
  • Maintain strong communications about project status to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Must be either a US citizen, a US permanent resident or someone who otherwise meets the requirements of a US Person under EAR part 772 and ITAR 120.12.
  • Cannot be party of any restrictive covenant, non-compete, non-solicitation, or non-disclosure / confidentiality agreement with current or any former employer that would prevent you from fully performing the duties of the position.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience leading the design, development, build, qualification, test and certification of Part 23 and/or Part 25 aircraft.
  • Prior Aerospace Experience. 
  • High-end business jet experience highly desired.
  • 10+ years of experience in leadership roles of increasing responsibility, up to at least a Director level role.
  • Demonstrated success leading an engineering organization across multiple functional disciplines.
  • Thorough understanding of Part 23 and Part 25 certification requirements.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret the results of engineering analyses.
  • Demonstrated success leading highly empowered teams and working with a diverse group of people at every level in an organization.
  • Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge solid professional relationships with subordinates, peers, management and suppliers.
  • Ability to drive accountability appropriately within the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with very strong decision making and communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong bias for action, and excellent problem solving skills across multi-disciplinary skill sets.
  • Experience in a global environment working with customers and suppliers.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Project, as well as with ERP Systems.
  • Good understanding of financial reports and analysis.
