Quality Inspector  
 
A Two Roads client that performs composite fabrication is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to perform source, receiving, in-process, final or tool inspection on a wide variety of in-house or supplier machined, welded, fabricated or processed parts, tools and mechanical assemblies, laminated process composite parts, ply per ply visual inspection on all brakes programs as necessary. The ideal candidate for this position is resourceful, a good problem solver and organized; assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is key to success in this position. Successful candidate will have a strong commitment to ethics and integrity.
Essential Responsibilities: 
  • Inspects for dimensional accuracy, process and quality operations to assure conformance to customer, engineering, and quality requirements
  • Performs first article inspection on machined, fabricated or welded parts, tools, laminated composite parts or assemblies
  • Performs mechanical assembly inspection to 3rd party customer specifications
  • Performs source or receiving inspection per purchase order, specification, and/or drawing requirements
  • Performs in-process and final inspection per Work Order Instructions (WOI) and established procedures
  • Interprets engineering drawings, specifications and dimensional using geometric dimensioning and tolerance principles Verifies part and/or tool dimensions on machinery using digital readouts and indicators, or using CNC touch probe systems reports
  • Performs trigonometric and geometric math calculations to obtain profile, form angularity and dimensional inspection data
  • Verifies layup, wrap, cure, machine set ups, high temperature processes, machining, bonding, painting, welding, or assembly operations are under control and meet specified requirements
  • Perform Source Inspection that will require travel within the U.S. 
  • Performs Qualified Operator Program Training and yearly audits

Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university  • Aerospace Manufacturing work experience  • Familiarity working in Composite Manufacturing
