We are seeking an Information Security Risk Analyst to focus on the creation of technical documentation in support of our ISO-27001 and NIST 800-53/171 compliance requirements. This includes creating/editing policy documents, process workflows, procedures, conceptual overviews, user guides and work instructions. Additionally you will focus on performing risk assessments and evaluating security controls.
  • Create and update technical security documentation based on specific information security requirements (e.G. ISO-27001, NIST 800-53/171) and SpaceX style guides and standards.
  • Create logical data flow and network diagrams to describe system configuration.
  • Perform risk assessments to identify and document information security risks into a risk register.
  • Work with system owner on articulating and documenting risk treatment plans.
  • Communicate complex concepts with senior management, technical personnel, and external stakeholders in a concise manner.

  • Ability to write technical security policy, procedure and standards documents.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor s or Master s degree in computer science, information security, information technology, or other engineering discipline.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, demanding environment with competing deadlines and strong attention to detail.
    Preferred Skill and Experience:
  • Working knowledge of network security, encryption methods, application development platforms, technologies, security architecture and overall information security concepts.
  • Working understanding of information security risk management and performing information security risk assessments.
  • Familiarity with recognized Information Security governance standards and frameworks such as ISO-27001 and NIST 800-53.
