The OSP Engineers role is to coordinate with the client, Production Manager, Project Managers, JPA Department, Engineering Department, Draftsperson and Utility Companies to complete a site design. They are responsible for the quality of all aspects of the designs and product delivered to the client.
Essential duties and Responsibilities include:
Coordinate the aerial engineering, design and Construction Drawing process.
Communicate daily with Production Manager, Project Managers, Draftsperson, clients, utility companies and contractors.
Complete all required and applicable forms.
Conduct and attend site walks.
Attend client and Jurisdictional meetings as required.
Requests and reviews Power Designs.
Requests and review of Telco Designs and Fiber Designs.
Prepare engineering packages for Production Manager.
Prepare JPA packages for JPA Department.
Prepare structural and windload packages for Engineering Department.
Review and approve as-builts. Incorporate into drawings as needed
Obtain necessary site addresses.
Provide site statuses to Wireless Administrative Assistant.
Performs field work and research if required.
Obtain quotes from vendors.
Obtain surveys and 1-A certification letters from vendors.
Performs Feasibility Studies.
Coordinate with city engineers and Public Works Departments.
Quality Control completed drawings.
Review and incorporate windload results into drawings.
