Master Scheduler EVM Emphasis
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
50% - Responsible for the generation of earned value program schedules for Orion programs, and execution to meet planned program deliveries. This includes initiation, creation and statusing a Line of Balance Report.
  • Responsible for plan generation and performance to plan (SPI ).
  • Participates in Integrated Baseline Review (IBR)
  • Prepares verbal and written schedule and performance reporting.
  • May participate in proposal planning activities developing program plans and schedules in support of proposal preparation.
  • Develops Material Requirements and Fabrication schedules in support of program requirements.
    25% - Perform monitoring and tracking of hardware through the build process to ensure on time delivery of products and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinates plans and schedules with affected functions.
  • Provides assistance to program team in meeting established schedules and milestones.
  • Monitors procurement and fabrication activities for conformance to established schedules.
  • Advises program team of problems or concerns relating to conformance to the program schedules.
  • Coordinates the generation of detailed recovery schedules as required.
    15% Provides schedule/material status to program management and other internal or external customers.
  • Prepares charts and schedules for use in proposal planning, program reviews and other periodic briefings.
  • Provides inputs to management relating to program schedule status.
  • Provides inputs to management to ensure delivery of contractual data.
    10% - Other tasks as assigned.

  • Skills:
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and government contracting
  • Excellent knowledge of cost accounting standards, performance measurement systems, and
    command media
  • Advanced understanding and ability to implement and manage Earned Value Management
    Requirements and associated government compliance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and ten (10) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to analyze material consumption and project future trends required. Must demonstrate a good understanding of earned value management as well as material and production control and MRP/ERP (Oracle preferred). Must have good computer skills (ie: Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, Microsoft Project). Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in a team environment are essential to success.

    o Proficiency with a One Page schedule reporting tool, in our case Milestones Pro

    EVM and Analytics
  • Proficient in creating and running Schedule Analytics
    o OPDEC Schedule Investigator
    o forProject DCMA 14 Point Schedule Analyzer
    o Filters, Groupings, Sorting using intrinsic MSP abilities
    o When needed run Logic Diagrams
    o Understand the IPMR DID and DCMA Metrics and Requirements

  • EVM
    o Understand EV Concepts
    o Knowledge of Cost/Schedule Integration Tools
    o Proficiency in maintaining Cost/Schedule Integration
  • Submittal and Contractual
    o Proficient in Determining Customer Contractual IMS Reporting Requirements
    o Consistently create an auditable Monthly Schedule Submittal to the Customer
    o Produce Monthly Schedule Analysis consistent with DCMA Guidelines
    If Different from Customer Submittal, this analysis is stored for future audits and/or reviews
