Our client is seeking new member for our team to serve as a Launch Engineer to support development of our LabVIEW based control systems. The Launch Engineer will support the development of the software and hardware development in support of an air launched rocket. Projects will span a variety of disciplines including distributed controls, communications, signal processing, and data analysis. Launch Systems include Ground Support Equipment (GSE) consisting of Liquid Oxygen, Rocket Propellant 1, Helium, Nitrogen, and Payload Air Conditioning skids with its associated command and control, telemetry sites capable of real time distribution of vehicle data, launch control center operations and real time command and control of the rocket. The Launch Engineer will have accountability for safety, reliability, and fitness for purpose of their designs. This role is for a hands-on person with great attention to detail and excellent people skills.

Create flight telemetry screens for ground monitoring
Create and maintain LabVIEW code used in fuelling rockets
Troubleshoot GSE remote sensor issues
Review test/flight data and compare to predictions
Lead or contribute to anomaly resolutions as needed
Management of subcontractors
Assistance in the development of integration and launch processes and procedures

Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Proficiency with LabVIEW
Proficiency with National Instruments hardware platforms (cDAQ, PXI, EtherCat)
Hands on hardware troubleshooting and software debugging
Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment

Generally high level of all-around awesomeness
Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime as well as weekends when needed
and you should probably have a bunch of these, too.
Excellent verbal and written communication skill.

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
RF Link Budgets and Digital Modulation Techniques knowledge.
Knowledge of other programming languages (C, C++, C#)
Passion for space exploration and a firm belief in the utility of affordable access to space
Ability to thrive as a one person team
