We are seeking a strong IT Project Manager to manage IT projects. We are looking for people that are self-starters project drivers. The person in this position will take control of multiple IT projects and be responsible for driving the projects to a successful conclusion. This person will be responsible for working with stakeholders to define the projects, schedule them, align the resources, and then drive the projects to successful conclusion. This person will need to track and status projects, define and implement risk mitigation plans, find, and remove project obstacles. This is a fast paced, multi-tasking, dynamic work environment with high degrees of autonomy and accountability.

The scope includes project managing various IT projects that fall primarily in infrastructure design and deployment (e.G. Client/server roll out and upgrade, logging implementation, vulnerability scanning). This not only includes the design, deployment of these technology solutions, but also the definition/documentation and implementation of ongoing support processes and procedures to assure the viability of these technology implementations. We are seeking to resource this on a staff augmentation basis without discrete deliverables. We have a set of projects that we need this resource to work on as an extension of our existing IT teams. This position will report to the Information Security Manager or the IT Infrastructure Management Team.

  • Highly organized project manager that can effectively execute on multiple complex projects at a time.
  • Capable of task decomposition and scheduling
  • Able to perform resource allocation
  • Project forward scheduling, estimating earned value , ability to predict if the project is on schedule/track
  • Risk awareness and mitigation planning
  • Ability to coach/manage others and leverage escalation paths when necessary
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills. The candidates must have the ability to articulate requirements to engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
  • Define the methods and approaches that the company will use to meet/comply with the IT compliance requirements
  • Deliver the changes/implementations that deliver the capabilities to meet the IT compliance requirements
  • Own alignment with government, customer, and internal stakeholders to execute projects.
  • Read out regularly to management the current status of projects, including project risks and strategies to mitigate those risks.
  • Lead and drive meetings between different security technical teams, set clear expectations about responsibilities, communicate with stakeholders, hold stakeholders accountable, and measure delivery.

  • Bachelor s degree in information technology or another technical discipline.
  • 4+ years demonstrated working experience in Information Technology, Information Security or IT Audit

  • Experience performing project management for very large and complex technical IT projects.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years of industry experience in IT project management
  • Experience working with engineering and non-engineering teams and other cross-functional stakeholders in both engineering and non-engineering teams.
  • NIST 800-53 experience is a plus
